Etizolam is an analog of benzodiazepine and is derived from thienodiazepine. Benzodiazepines are a class of drugs that affect the central nervous system, resulting in sleep-inducing, sedative, anticonvulsant, anti-anxiety, and muscle relaxant effects. As a result, these drugs can be used in the treatment of insomnia, anxiety, and a number of other conditions.
This drug is prescribed in several countries including India, Italy, and Japan. However etizolam brands are also often sold by the drug dealers of the United States and Europe. When purchased from drug dealers, Etizolam is most commonly encountered as powder or tablets. In rare cases blotting paper is used to ingest it.
